Could we see Jailbreak Today

So seems like we may see the iPad2 and 4Gs Jailbreak today in a few hours According to ipod2g with all the dev's chipping in to make this Jailbreak possible including the chroinic dev team and the iPhone dev team. This Jailbreak seems like it may be a very different as there seems to be a very small % it could harm you"re device but have faith as the dev's are trying to make it safe as possible so what is you're thoughts about all this ? leave comments below .

iPhone 4s & iPad 2 Jailbreak coming ?

So if you all keep up with all the iPhone stuff on twitter maybe early today you would of caught a few tweets from https://twitter.com/#!/pod2g claiming that a new Jailbreak for the iPhone 4s and iPod could be live within the week well if not take a peep at the screen shot below, This is good news considering about two weeks ago most other idevices got the 5.0.1 untehered Jailbreak and the 4s and ipad 2 users was left out in the cold on this one like most all other jailbreaks and newer devices. Hackers get iOS apps to run full-screen on Appl...

YouTube is among the iOS apps Dublin-based hacker Steven Troughton-Smith got working this weekend in full screen on a jailbroken Apple TV.

While you were buying the New Years bubbly and party horns, hackers were busy this weekend figuring out how to run iOS apps natively on Apple TV--and in full screen.

Dublin-based hacker and iOS developer Steven Troughton-Smith--known for getting Siri to work on an iPhone 4 and iPod Touch and even somewhat on an iPhone 3GS--says over the past couple days he and a fellow hacker have managed to get a jailbroken second-generation Apple TV to run iOS apps in full screen at 720p.

The hack, first reported by 9to5Mac, isn't publically available and is considered more of a proof of concept at this time. He says it was done using a custom springboard written byNick@TheMudKip on a jailbroken Apple TV.

"Nick had written this amazing window manager for the iPad that replaced the entire homescreen, allowing you to run multiple apps side by side, and I realized this could enable iOS apps on the AppleTV for the first time," Troughten-Smith told CNET, adding that he hasn't heard a thing from Apple. "We've spent the past 2 days modifying everything to work really well on the AppleTV screen size, etc, and getting apps to run."

The video at the end of this post tells all. But it's all very preliminary. And there are bugs too--consider this shot Troughton-Smith posted of Angry Birds running sideways:

But it could be the start of custom apps built for Apple TV, as Troughton-Smith alludes in a tweet: "Remember how the unofficial iPhone apps back in '07 forced Apple's hand in creating an App Store? I'd like AppleTV to get the same treatment."

iFunbox released for Mac

iFunbox is a great tool for digging inside your iDevice. With no login or password required, no Wifi needed it was a great and fast method for transferring or modifying files inside your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. This becomes especially true once jailbroken and root access is gained.

As great as this tool is, it was up until now a PC only release. But it has finally moved to the Mac side of computers. At this time it is functional but missing a couple features that its PC twin has. It is also still considered under development. This is still one of the best tools for going inside your mobile iStuff. It looks like there are still several features they will be putting in this once its out of its "Preview" trial.

iDevice users downloading more than 5 million f...

iPhone users have been grabbing free apps at a feverish pace, says a new study from mobile ad firm Fiksu.
For the month of November, the total number of downloads of the top 200 free iPhone apps in the U.S. hit a record 5.65 million per day. That figure was 15 percent higher than the 4.91 million seen in October and a full 83 percent higher than the rate recorded a year ago.
November also was the first time that Fiksu's numbers surpassed the 5 million mark.
The download rate showed a gradual dip since this past June with the numbers hitting a low of 3.8 million in September. But following the debut of the iPhone 4s and IOS 5 in October, downloads jumped to 4.9 million.


"As expected, and as we've seen before with new device launches, new owners' enthusiasm is high and their appetite for app discovery and engagement is strong," Fiksu noted. "This bears out in the numbers with daily app downloads hitting a new, all-time record peak reflecting heightened competition for rank in the Apple App Store. Additionally, the rapid adoption of iOS 5--and corresponding app updates--played a key role in this continued escalation in November."

So as you can see the Basement has started from the ground level again I had this done for a couple of reasons" A.
